A BRAVE NEW PATH FOR EDUCATION
in the heart of Český Krumlov
It all started with just me and my two sons.
I was searching for a school that would respect children's individuality, nurture their inner motivation, and give space for curiosity. I couldn't find one – so I created it.
We left the traditional system and found our own path. Today, Honza (16) speaks six languages, runs his own business, and has geography, history and politics knowledge on a university level. Marek (12) is an athlete, a creator, and a deeply empathetic person. He practices parkour, plays the piano, cooks, creates social media content, and cares for his beloved Luna (a Border Collie). He is a wonderful friend, has many close connections, and – most importantly – he loves himself.
This is how Libera Nova was born in my heart – a place where freedom and responsibility are not just words but everyday reality. Every year, like-minded children join us, and we keep growing day by day.

These six values guide everything we do at Libera Nova.
RESPECTFUL AND PERSONALISED EDUCATION
Everyone is seen, heard, and valued.
We believe in intrinsic motivation and create space for curiosity, independence, and the joy of learning.
EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
We support the whole child — mind, heart, and spirit. Children develop self-awareness, emotional literacy, communication skills, and tools for peaceful conflict resolution.
REAL WORLD SKILLS & PROJECTS
We take learning topics out into the real world and turn them into action. Children are guided toward independence, initiative, and finding solutions to real-life challenges.
LEARNING WITHOUT FEAR
Children learn best when they feel safe — emotionally, socially, and physically. That's why we create an environment where mistakes are welcomed, differences are valued, and everyone can grow with confidence.
COMMUNITY, CARE, AND RESPONSIBILITY
Children co-create their environment and take responsibility for it. From cleaning to cooking, from mentoring to decision-making — they are active participants in shaping their shared space.
OWNERSHIP OF LEARNING
Children are guided to take responsibility for their education. They set goals, make choices, and reflect on their progress. They become active learners who understand themselves and take pride in their growth.
